About the position
As a customization engineer, you work to understand the user's clinical needs and are responsible to identify or innovate solutions that meet these needs. You will communicate with customers to quote and design solutions that meet the clinical aspects and user needs with innovative, safe and produces effective solutions. You will work in close cooperation with the customization team, production, quality assurance and other engineers to make Permobil stay and continue to develop as a truly great company for our users and customers.
Responsibilities
• Respond to customer request on customized solutions on Power Wheelchairs, make initial assessments on how to meet the customer request and quote proposed solution.
• Continuously drive improvements in the quote to delivery process of customized solutions and ease of doing business
• Design customer solutions for Permobil's products in line with regulations.
• Make risk/benefit assessment and propose existing solutions or conceptual solutions.
• Simulate and/or Design the parts and solutions that will be adapted on the products
• Create documentation such as risk assessment, design plan, drawings, and assembly instructions
• Coordinate and prioritize together with all departments within the production unit
Your profile
We believe that you are an ambitious engineer in early stages of your career with a curiosity to learn customer requirements and transform them to solutions and business. Starting in the front end, assessing customer requests and responding with quotes solutions will build an outstanding understanding of the user needs within power wheelchair business.
We believe you have a university degree in science or engineering and some experience as mechanical engineer or equal. You are fluent in oral and written English and Swedish.
The team is working closely with Permobil sales companies and your skills in pro-active communication will be highly valued.
