This will be us - your new colleagues within Finance
Undoubtedly, Finance is an interesting place to be in especially during periods of change and transformation. We provide the financial information and analyses required to operate effectively and efficiently and to support the business planning and the decision-making. The function works closely together and with other parts of the organization, both in Volvo Group Digital & IT as well as with the Digital & IT and the Finance communities in the Group
At 'Finance Process & tools' we are responsible that we have modern and relevant tools to support the financial processes. We drive process standardization and simplification, and secure that we use our tools in an efficient way. We have started to focus on improving the way we access, use and visualize our financial data. We also aim for driving an increased automatization of the financial processes by introducing modern tools.
This is how you could make an impact
As a 'Controller Automation & New Technologies' you will be a key player in developing and implementing the future financial tools and processes. We see you as a strong driving force in helping and pushing us in to new ways of thinking, embracing new technology, tools, and ways of working.
You will work closely with the colleagues in our department but also with many other parts of the Volvo Group to identify and implement automatization and new technologies.
You will be part of networks that aim to speeding up the process of digitalizing finance by reusing development and tools, sharing ideas, best practice, and development resources. Together with the networks and our solution suppliers, you will drive the automatization with relevant new technologies
In addition, you will work together with others to structure our data, with the purpose of making it easily available and consumable, but also visualized in effective and attractive ways.
You will in this role be an important bridge between technology and finance, and between us and our colleagues in the Group working with these type of areas.
Key Responsibilities
Drive the automation in the Volvo Group Digital & IT Finance
Spread awareness and knowledge around new technologies, automation, and tools to the Volvo Group Digital & IT Finance organization to broaden the knowledge
Support colleagues with Finance with automatization and effective usage of tools etc.
Structure and priorities the needs. Be the bridge from finance to the developers and/or be part of the development yourself
Ensure that decided things are developed and implemented
Be an active part of Volvo Group networks, promoting reuse of solutions, and sharing of ideas and best practices
Define and establish the relevant routines, governance and documentation required to support the scale-up and acceleration of automation
Define and establish routines for maintaining the automation solutions implemented
Secure proper documentation of solutions and processes implemented

In addition, we see it as beneficial if you have the following skills and experiences:
Experience from driving digitalization and utilization of the following or similar technologies: Low-code development, Robotic Process Automation, Machine Learning etc.
Experience from leading projects delivering IT-solutions, preferably involving the above-mentioned technologies
Knowledge in output tools like Qlik, Power BI etc.
Understanding of Volvo Groups financial structures, Volvo Group financial data model and organization
Proven strong drive for results
You have strong communication skills and the ability to lead by influencing others
Ability to work independently in a flexible and multi-cultural environment
