JOB DESCRIPTION
The strong growth in the area of network video and IP surveillance has created tremendous growth opportunities at Axis Communications, the global leading vendor of network video products. We are therefore looking for a dynamic Controller at our Finance department.
As a Controller you will be responsible for the controlling of the Northern European region and for global gross margin analysis. You will also be responsible for managing the accounting and finance functions for Axis in the region.
You will work with maximizing the return on financial assets by monitoring and establishing financial policies, procedures, controls and reporting systems together with Corporate Finance.
In your position you are also responsible for the current follow up of Axis Gross margin development, working closely with the Regional Director to monitor revenue and costs against budget.
Your key accountabilities will be:
• Manage the overall accounting function in Northern Europe by establishing and enforcing all accounting policies and procedures related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial reporting and payroll.
• Guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring and enforcing group policies and procedures. Reports pertinent financial information to corporate office in Sweden
• Manage the entire budgeting and auditing process by establishing schedules, collecting, analyzing and consolidating financial data and recommending any changes. Working with the Regional Director to research and analyze any budget variances and address.
• Achieve budget objectives by scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions.
• Ensure that all required federal, state and local financial reports are filed.
• Provide status of financial conditions by collecting, interpreting and reporting financial data.
• Facilitate negotiation and resolution of complex collection issues (invoicing currently done from Sweden).
• Manage capital budget and commitments when delegated and authorized by Corporate.
• Monitor and analyze the gross margin development on corporate level.
• Miscellaneous local or corporate projects and duties as assigned and agreed with Regional Director.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
We believe you have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and 5 years of experience in an accounting or financial management role. You have strong computer knowledge in word processing, spreadsheet and accounting management system software applications.
You have international and regional experience and knowledge within the area and you are fluent in English, both oral and written.
Furthermore you are structured, dependable and see great value in delivering results with high quality on time.
