The core of our technology is a unique cell design which allows for the production of highly robust fuel cells. PowerCell?s Power Generator, PowerPac, is a compact and reliable system that generates electricity from diesel at a high efficiency with zero emissions.
The department of Systems & Electronics is looking for a control system engineer to contribute to the team?s success in developing the control system for a fuel cell and diesel fuel processor based Auxiliary Power Unit (APU). The department consists of 8 co-workers focused on industrializing the company?s PowerPac, an APU in the range of 1-6 kW intended for an automotive environment.
Application software is implemented in Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow environment, with code generation to target execution environments. An agile software development process is used together with tools for rapid development to support an efficient way of working.
The department is characterized by solution driven people with creativity and entrepreneurship combined with a great team spirit.
Role description
Active participation in the technology process ? evaluate ideas and perform activities in order to enhance understanding and mature the technology.
Active participation in development and AE projects ? concept study to industrialized product.
Identify, analyze and document product requirements (functional and non-functional).
Work together with process/product design team ? performing simulations and control design based on their plant model and providing feedback from a control design point of view.
Implement control algorithms (application SW) in Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow.
Support development of product verification plans.
Configuration of test cell / lab for different test objects and test cases.
Commissioning of control systems together with plant/product.
Carry out tests and analyze and conclude on test data.
Qualifications
MSc in control systems engineering or equivalent.
Several years of experience from designing, implementing system for process control.
Experienced user of Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow.
Knowledge from agile SW development processes and experience in SW development projects.
Experience from product development for automotive / commercial vehicles.
Experience from ECU / control system testing and/or test rigs.
Knowledge from chemistry / catalysis processes is a plus.
Excellent communication skills in English.
A structured mindset with a problem solving attitude and a mentality that nothing is impossible.
Team player spirit, helping and covering for other team members.
