If you are process oriented, analytical and have a background from software development this could be the right challenge for you. As our Configuration Manager/Release Manager you will join the MES (Manufacturing Execution System) team within Scania IT. The MES team's main responsibility is to supply MES application support to Scania's production, as well as being responsible for developing and maintaining functions according to business needs.
The group, which currently consists of around 18 people: maintenance managers, test managers, testers, developers, business analysts and software architects, supports Scania's production operations in Sweden, Europe and Brazil. Your responsibilities
As Configuration Manager within the MES team at Scania IT you will be part of an organisation that works on both implementation projects and maintenance of our MES application based on the APRISO platform, and you will ensure a more secure and efficient development of the software. You will also be responsible for packaging components that are delivered from different development teams around the world into official baselines.
Furthermore you will be responsible to improve the Configuration Management process including Release Management. In this role you will be the hub of the network, bringing together releases, environments, developer teams and technical interfaces. You will also handle interfaces in roll-out activities to other countries.
Your profile
We expect you to have a relevant university degree, supplemented with 2-3 years' experience as Configuration Manager/Release manager. Background as tester or developer is beneficial. Experience working with modern CM-tools and experience from working in an agile environment is mandatory.
Knowledge from working with JIRA is a merit.
As a person you are organised, skilled at coordination, planning and follow-up and bold about making your own decisions. To be successful in this role you will also need to have good communication skills and feel comfortable working closely with several parties within the business. You are a team player, but are also capable of working independently. You have a drive for continuous improvement. Lastly, you need to be proficient in written and spoken Swedish and English.
