Electrification is often defined as one of the technology enablers, alongside vehicle autonomy and connectivity, that will disrupt today's transport eco system. In some segments, fully electrical and electrical hybrid vehicles are already today becoming part of the base offering.
Optimised e-mobility, however, is so much more than vehicle and battery technology. For optimised operation and economy, many factors will have an impact such as charging infrastructure, intervals, timing, driving style, etc. Based on our advanced position in connectivity, Scania has a golden opportunity to find new, sustainable business opportunities in this transformation. This does not mean that Scania should offer everything on our own, rather that we need to find the right partners to provide total operational solutions for our customers.
As a concept manager for e-mobility solutions you are involved in realizing these business opportunities, responsible for business concept development in this area. This will be a truly cross-functional role, since customers' solutions are likely to involve deliveries from many parts of the Scania organisation. Moreover, you will have to be open for working in many and varying partnerships also outside the Scania organisation.
You will start this mission in a small group, with the objective to work together with relevant competencies across Scania to realize a path towards a sustainable, profitable business area. With time, and given business fundaments, the group is set to grow as the e-mobility area is still only in its early days. You will report to the Head of e-Mobility Solutions.
So are you ready to assume this challenge, to think outside the normal Scania box, driven by customer oriented service design work, and want to be part of the kernel in a group that will be shaping an extremely important future strategic area for Scania, do not hesitate to apply.
Job content
• Develop and manage service concepts for e-mobility solutions on relevant parts of the Scania service roadmap in accordance to service design principles
• Work in a "discovery team" with relevant stakeholders at Scania to realize the concepts
• In some cases identify and work with strategic partners for Scania in the e-mobility area in order to provide relevant and attractive customer solutions
• Be responsible for leading selected tests of new business models in direct customer interaction and in close cooperation with relevant Scania stakeholders
Personal attributes
You are creative, innovative and have a drive to grow initiatives to substantial size. Naturally, you are commercially oriented and analytic, most probably with academic background. You are fluent in English, generally communicative, socially competent, and capable of building professional networks. You are also capable of working independently.
You have a basic understanding of the e-mobility area and have a good balance between diplomacy, pedagogic skills and stubbornness, since you have to be prepared to create common understanding when some internal truths and traditions are challenged by this new business
