We are looking for a Compliance and Certification Engineer to join the MACH R&D team at HVDC in Ludvika. MACH is a modular advanced control system for control and protection functions. MACH R&D have approximately 380 employees developing electronics hardware and software.
You will be a part of a small and growing team responsible for Process Governance and Product Reliability, which support the MACH R&D organization with specialist competence. You will in close cooperation with hardware engineers, create good practices and streamline the compliance process.
You have a background within Regulatory Compliance and are used to work with different standards within electronics or low voltage electrical applications. We have our own laboratory resources for pre-compliance and the role can also be developed towards related areas within safety, EMC and similar, depending on your previous experience.

Your responsibilities
Reviewing R&D project requirements and Products designs to assure compliance with internal & external international standards.
Supporting R&D teams to assure designs are done according to required standards.
Continuous improvement of certification & compliance process for MACH Control & Protection products for global markets.
Contributing to Product Lifecycle Management; planning of re-certification.
Ensuring delivery of regulatory documentation required for products certification.
Create good practices and checklists - Design For Compliance
Support in subscriptions of standards and roll-out
Streamline the compliance process

Your background
Academic degree in Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical engineering or proven experience within Compliance and standards.
Demonstrated experience with international standards & directives (IEC, CE, UL, IPC, etc.).
Experience with New Product Introduction for industrial/energy markets.
Strong problem-solving mindset
Proven Project Management experience is considered meritorious.
Familiarity with reliability engineering (e.g. FMEA) is beneficial.
