About the position
For our client- an american manufacturer of optical networking equipment, we are now looking for an analytical and driven Business Controller who will report directly to the CFO. You will take an active part in the management team, representing your business unit and driving it forward.
Key responsibilities:
* Responsible for planning, developing and driving the budget/forecast process on a monthly basis
* Provide analysis and commentary on the P&L in regards to budget-actual-forecast process
* Identification of risk and opportunities including early warning to CFO and management
* Follow up on cost savings initiative to ensure changes are on track as advised by the management team
* Maintain and develop reporting structures
* Development of forecasting models and reports in BPC (Business Planning and Consolidation)
* Provide support and assistance to the accounting team in order to ensure quality standards are met as well as calculate accruals in some areas of the P&L
Qualifications
* Professionalism and ethics
* Stakeholder relationship management
* University degree in economics and >5 years of Business Control working experience
* Good accounting skills
* Excellent MS Excel skills is required, experience from SAP and BPC is desired
* Experience and/or understanding of supply chain and standard costing
* Fluent in English, both writing and speaking
* Analytical, driven and structured with good problem solving skills
* Team player with time management and leadership skills desired
