Description
This position sits within the CCB's growing Western Europe Digital team with responsibility for credit analysis for customers in Western Europe and Israel. The primary responsibilities will be to adequately assess credit risk of clients, approve individual credit requests within authorization limit and make recommendations for higher approvals. Responsibilities will also include active engagement in setting up adequate credit programs and performing periodical reviews of client portfolio.

Job Purpose:
Perform credit analysis for existing and prospect clients and issue adequate approval recommendations
Take part in the set up and update of relevant Credit Programs
Periodical monitoring of existing client portfolio
Performing credit calls with clients
Assist the bankers in structuring transactions that meet client's expectations and Citi's risk appetite
Conducting due diligence on the client's business, understanding business model to form a view on the credit.
Key Responsibilities:
Execution of the Credit Program and CCB Risk General Procedures Manual including:
Grading of individual prospect clients or group of companies - including all necessary checking
Identification of any risk issues that are not addressed in the standard approval criteria but negatively influence the final grading on a case by case basis
Execute customer field visits to ensure the business of the company and purpose of our loan where appropriate
Consultation with Early warning, Risk Management
Setting up proposal for final grading, up or down grading, available credit lines, collaterals and any special term and conditions on Credit Application
Review of the customer performance, annual review of existing customers
Proposal for classification or Early Warning monitoring
Perform second approval/sign-off of Credit Application according to approval limit
Evaluate collateral value of offered receivables and pledge on company's assets
Maintain data consistency by daily usage of available software platforms
Follow the market practice, initiate necessary changes in risk process, Credit Program, additional input for product development
Responsible for timely annual review of existing customers (revision date update, maturing credit lines)
Responsible for process and procedure updates
Preparing ad-hoc analytical tasks (i.e. portfolio review purposes, stress tests)
Responsible for cost of credit
Maintain control on efficiency of Approval Unit
Responsible for approval cycle time - setting priority of work load
Work in cooperation with Sales Teams
Complete any other tasks in connection with the role but not detailed in the current job description, as directed by the line manager.
Qualifications
Knowledge and Experience:
Minimum 5 years experience in a financial institution in a credit role
Demonstrate knowledge of intermediate accounting and its practical application in the credit underwriting process
Good understanding of technology startups and the tech eco-system is preferable
Skills & Competencies:
Good interpersonal, negotiation and analytical skill
Management skills
Proficient in spreadsheet (Excel) and other office applications
Good written and spoken English
Must have unquestionable integrity and high moral standards
Ability to pay attention to details, set priorities and work under pressure in an environment that is productivity driven

College or university degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
