The Commercial Director (CD) is responsible to develop and execute, in collaboration with Sectors/Business Areas, the WSP Sweden strategy in the actual sector/area. The CD act as a catalyst in the process to develop strategic relationships with clients and alliances, win strategic contracts/projects, and to increase add-on sales by mastering the role as contract representative for the strategic contract(s) CD is assigned to. As appropriate for certain programs/projects, the CD will be involved during delivery overseeing commercial performance, resourcing, and client satisfaction.
With applicable parts of the business, the CD develops and manages a business development plan for the, by Swedish Leadership team, identified "Must-Wins". Must-Wins are the, from time-to-time, portfolio of contracts/projects that will be of most strategic importance of the business.
The CD is instrumental to establish and execute a win strategy, decisions related to securing the win, negotiation of the terms, deal closing and delivery. The level of involvement of the CD will vary from project to project as agreed with the Swedish Leadership team.
Requirements for the role
Experience in working with senior management to align strategies and solutions
Experience of working in a corporate/business focused environment
Excellent negotiation skills, proven track record of successfully pitching for new business
Proven track record of increasing revenue through generation of leads
Proven track record of delivering multi-discipline complex projects/programs
Show an understanding of the challenges facing the industry at present and illustrate a knowledge of the operational attention to detail that will be required to succeed within the industry.
