About the job Swedbank is increasing its analytical capabilities and diversifying its data landscape, looking at new ways of capitalizing on data, with the ultimate goal of better knowing and hence better serving our customers. In doing this, new platforms and technologies for discovery, advanced analytics and big data will be explored and introduced. This will be done in close cooperation with the business and IT.
As a Combined Data Engineer and Ab Initio Developer in the ODL Business BI team, you will work within the Data Discovery & BI Architecture Value Stream in CFO's Group Business Intelligence department.
You will have a role with a unique span in both terms of technology stack and in terms of working across the whole organization. You will work both independently and in close cooperation with your team, consisting of Data Scientist, Data Steward, BA, and Domain SME.
Your responsibilities as a Data Engineer will include:
Sourcing activities: End-to-End attribute mapping from source to Data Lake, working with source owners for E2E delivery
End-to-End design for source ingestion into ODL
DevOps integration, CI/CD pipeline
Production deployment for Ab Initio and Big Data code
Metadata and data historization techniques
Your responsibilities as a Data Engineer will include:
Developing graphs, plans, creating PSETS, XFR, DML in GDE (Graphical Developer Environment)
Creating job schedules in CC
Table creation in Base and Curated layers
What you need to succeed As a Combined Data Engineer and Ab Initio Developer in the ODL Business BI team, we expect you to have experience in a wide range of technologies. You are an application installation and integration specialist. Programming is expected to be mostly in Java, Python/Scala, also Ab Initio PDL and Unix scripting language. Hadoop is core platform. You might have been working as a java or data warehouse developer and have a solid combination of the following requirements:
NoSQL database knowledge (HBase)
SQL and RDBMS systems
Hadoop and Big data knowledge, its design patterns
Real time streaming data knowledge (Kafka)
DevOps tools (GIT, Jenkins, Artifactory, Dockers, Kubernetes)
Basic ETL and data integration concepts
As a person, we expect you to have readiness and interest in learning and keeping yourself up to date with new technologies and platforms. You are a team-player and ready to excel within your area of expertise. We expect you to have good communication skills, both verbally and in written, also excellent in English.
