You will join one of or departments of Climate Adaptation in the Nordics
As our new Coastal Engineer, you will be part of our diverse and dynamic team working across multiple geographies (Nordics, Asia, Africa, Europe, US, etc.) and clients (private, public and International Financial Institutions). You will be a part of one of our department in Ramboll Water in the Nordics, depending on where in the Nordics you have your base. But you will have global Ramboll as your working area. The department is anchored in Ramboll Water's global division for Climate Adaptation and Landscape Architecture. Together with the team and the global division of Climate Adaptation and Landscape Architecture, you will deliver high quality projects in line with Ramboll's standards in a working environment based on enjoyment, empowerment and added value for clients through close cooperation.
Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:
Coastal and riverine flood protection analysis and design
Developing complex integrated infrastructure masterplan strategies
Preparing professional engineering design reports/drawings
Desktop research for a wide variety of components supporting our projects, including background data research, literature reviews and management of large quantities of data
Reporting and communicating strategies and results in high-level English and Danish preferred
Preparing proposals for both local and international clients

A Master's degree in Civil Engineering, or similar
A minimum of 10 years' experience within coastal/river flood protection design and integrated infrastructure planning (Nordic project experience advantageous)
Experience in projects financed by International Finance Institutions (e.g. the World Bank) is preferred, but not essential
Mastering of Microsoft Suite of products is essential (I.e Word, Excel, MS Project)
Experience in software packages such as ESRI ArcGIS, CADSS & FME is preferred, but not essential
Superior communication skills in Danish and English preferred
Structured and organized approach to data collection, management and analysis
Interest in and flair for visual communication, including InDesign and Prezi preferred
Strong literature review and reporting skills
