We're now looking for a CMI Performance Insights for the Nordics MCO at Unilever. This is a unique and exciting consultancy opportunity where you'll focus on understanding market dynamics and local shopping behavior to drive and provoke Transformational Growth, converting knowledge to opportunities. With this, Unilever can fuel their business to gain more than fair share of growth. The vision is to build Performance Insights (from Market Insights, Shopping Insights and Market Analytics) that drive colleagues to act. About the role
The Performance Insights role provides an exciting opportunity to work across categories and across countries within the Nordics to help our business partners answer their key business questions. By partnering with the local CD teams, this role will help shape & deliver the channel, including eCommerce, and MCO business plans.
The role entails broad exposure across many stakeholder groups, where one will also advise the local leadership team and marketing teams about opportunities identified in the market. Performance Insights will work closely with MCO CMI to deliver the CMI vision.
One primary responsibility within market insights includes managing the relationship with the local Nielsen team. This includes both initiating larger analyses based on syndicated data and ensuring that internal business partners can leverage the data to inform business decisions. The holder of this role will lead and support the delivery of continuous research queries on performance for CD and the NLT from performance tracking to share analysis to distribution gaps in line with the MCO priorities.
Another responsibility involves working closely to deliver category understanding about how people shop, but will not deliver category specific market insights as they will be the responsibility of the category and division.
The holder of this role will lead and support the delivery of ad hoc research on understanding shopping behavior - from shopping missions to decision at shelf for the different categories and across the different channels, and research projects on to deliver CD 2021 strategic thrusts in line with the MCO priorities.
The holder of this role will help the organization to understand how people shop, and demonstrate the difference in how they shop to how they think that they shop, and how to make a difference in-store (physical and on-line stores) in this Omnichannel world.
The holder of this role will lead, develop & execute the research plan and the projects within it for each country considering the local CD needs, in partnership and consultation with the MCO CMI lead.
Support shaping and landing strategies with Key Customers & Channel owners. This includes meetings & presentations of insights & learnings to Key Customers, CD, Marketing, and MCO CMI.
The holder of this role will also be responsible for the following elements of Market Insight
Designing and driving the market insight / analytics agenda
Delivering actionable insights from available data sources (incl Retail Audit, Purchase Panel, Brand Tracking and other available sources)
Identifying business growth opportunities and business risks based on available data sources
Training on self-service tools
CMI Tools & systems overall
Business performance reporting
Support of global CD or CMI initiatives like CotC, Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM, EDA), Phoenix 2.0
Data quality and day to day agency management
Monitoring local and regional retail trends and developments
Skills/experience you should have
Ideally at least 2-3 years experience in market insights / data analytics or a shopping insight / commerce role
Experience working with external agency partners
Ideally partnering with CD in the past, understanding the time and results pressure that CD are under in order to deliver pragmatic, actionable market research with a quick turn around
Good analytical skills
Good communication and presentation skills targeted towards multiple stakeholder groups
Knowledge of retail & channel landscape in the Nordics
Basic understanding of retail & channels globally
Strong understanding of Retail Measurement services, i.e. Nielsen data
Good understanding of quantitative and qualitative market research methodologies, including shopper insight and running store tests
Curiosity and desire to improve processes
Ability to lead projects and work independently
Interest in human behaviour / psychology / trends
Strong skills in English, both speaking and writing. A Nordic language is also advantageous
