SCA is a global consumer goods and paper company. SCA IT Services is responsible for a worldwide common Desktop environment for the entire SCA group. Therefore a software distribution method is used to deploy a common set of applications to all our SCA Personal computers (25.000 in 400 locations). Client Services is the team within SCA IT Services, responsible for SCA’s Common Desktop environment.
In this position you are responsible for coordinating, creating and maintaining the worldwide used SCA Common Desktop Applications packages and the distribution to the locations and you will also work with OS configuration and connectivity. Additionally you will be application owner for different standard applications and responsible for the implementation and maintenance.
Main responsibilities
• participate in Common Desktop and other Client Services related projects
• design and maintain the Client Infrastructure / Communication platform
• write documentation, installation routines and manuals and establish monitoring
processes together with our Operational Department
• coordinate the application packaging between Customers, IT Services and external packaging factories
• Create MSI install packages for the distribution system and develop script based routines
• Actively follow application trends and news on the market to enable for a world class software environment within SCA and the be interface to our software vendors in this area
• actively support our customers with 3rd level support
Educational Background
University, University of applied science, Information Technology or comparable education with long working experience
Working experience
• Minimum 3 years of experience with Windows XP professional / Vista
• Minimum 3 years of experience with installing and customizing MS Office 2003 / 2007 and other standard applications
Skills
• Windows XP Professional / Vista
• MS Office 2003 / 2007 and other standard applications
• Terminal Server / Citrix application Hosting
• preferable MCP and Certifications in requested area Communication software (MS VPN client/ CISCO VPN client…)
• Software distribution (preferable Zipper FastTrack and Microsoft SMS)
• VB Scripting
• MS Mobile solutions
