Role mission & context
As the Data and Analytics Director, you are responsible for incubating a data and analytics competency centre whilst keeping the overall business units growth strategy in mind. You will be accountable for top-line and bottom-line growth, as well as customer satisfaction and delivery excellence.
Responsibilities
• Set up and incubate analytics, Big Data & Business intelligence competency
• Actively own and drive all business development, marketing and presales efforts for data and analytics service offerings
• Work with the management team to set the strategic vision
• Identify opportunities that can be improved through data-driven decisions
• Partner with other teams to raise business questions and determine analytical approaches
• Recruit, train and enable highly skilled experts to adopt to an agile way of working
• Provide insights and strategic targeting recommendations using data and analytics platforms
• Own Data and Analytics competency governance and P&L
• Consult in the areas of Data/ETL architecture (traditional and modern), IT roadmap, master data, advance analytics, data visualization and reporting.
• Be a part of/participate in critical and/or strategic decision making
• Consult on reduction of complexity in business processes, information, applications, integration and infrastructure
• Collaborate effectively with our customers to solve cross function challenges spanning their respective areas and resolve technological disagreement with informed, rational solutions
• Help our customers to make strategic technology choices and decisions, directly supervising the quality of designs and implementation inside and between components
Centigo is looking for a Director of Data and Advanced Analytics. We are looking for someone who will take on the responsibility of building, developing, and leading our growing business in Data and Analytics. This senior role will be based in our head office in Stockholm.
We would like you to combine your analytical skills with your business acumen.
• Strong background in business development, sales, presales,and client management with excellent proven results.
• More than 5 years of experience from portfolio P&L.
• More than 15 years of hands on experience from traditional (EDW) and modern data platforms (R, Hadoop, NoSQL, etc). You are comfortable in leading any Solution Architecture, Technical Architecture and Data Architecture discussions.
• Minimum 4 years of experience from developing big data competency centres and providing techno-functional guidance to your teams
• Comfortable in leading a team of Data Scientists and have a fair understanding advanced analytics and statistical modelling.
• Experience from advisory and executive roles in the enterprise information domain.
• Practical experience from modelling: e.g. business modelling, process modelling, data modelling, and knowledge in domain driven design
• Practical experience from balancing process and solution perspectives to solve architecture specific concerns
• You have experience from implementing master data, metadata and data lineage models
• You have consulted policy makers on strategic, operational, financial and other issues.
• You have exceled in providing leadership in IT strategy and enterprise performance management. You have helped CxO in their Digital and Innovation Strategies.
• You have independently developed go-to market strategies for service offerings and related methodologies and frameworks
• You have strong communication skills, flexibility, independence and commitment
• You possess good knowledge in English, both spoken and written
