Do you want to lead and shape Diakonias's global support to Civil Society organizations, in the front line for democracy, gender justice and human rights? Diakonia is now looking for a person to make the most of our international programs for civil society.

Your main role and responsibility is to manage and develop Diakonia's global program for support to civil society, inspired in our Partnership Policy, in more than 20 countries with a total budget of over 850 million SEK, most of the funding coming from Sida.
This entails:
Lead and coordinate program delivery in close collaboration with staff in 20 countries and different departments, exploring new forms of partnering up with change actors.
Lead and coordinate the design of the new phase of the Civil Society program, helping Diakonia be a better partner for feminist movements.
Be responsible for the grants management of the programme, together with the Global Operational Support and Global Finance Team.
Lead and develop internal processes and competences for better support to and collaboration with civil society.
Maintain and develop the relation with Sida-CivSam.
Explore and nurture the development of the Civil Society program.

Your work puts the people we work for and the contexts we operate in at the centre. In doing that you sustain a human rights-based approach and the perspective of people living in poverty. You collaborate closely with Diakonia staff in the countries where we operate and in Sweden, as well as with representatives of funding agencies.

We are looking for an experienced global program manager, expert in supporting Civil Society in its diversity, in particular women's rights organizations, youth movements and informal actors. You have over 8 years' experience in development work that includes:

Managing donor relations and application writing.
Leading and coordinating multidisciplinary teams and complex processes.
Experience in strategy planning and operational development.
You speak and write English and Swedish fluently.
As a person you are solution oriented, creative and a good team player.
