Marketing and Corporate Relations (M&C) is responsible for building Ericsson's profile as a technology leader, preferred employer, and partner in empowering a connected world. We represent and support all Business Areas, Market Areas and Group Functions across the organization.
As Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Advisor, you will directly contribute to the strategic direction and continued transformation of the Group Function Marketing Communication (GFMC) function. You will provide strategic guidance to the CMO on a range of matters, including representing the CMO and the GFMC function at key business fora, driving the global Marketing and Communications Leadership Team (MCLT) agenda, and undertaking, where necessary strategic, and sometimes sensitive and business confidential initiatives.
What you will do
Working very closely with the CMO you will act as official delegate, gather strategic insights, prepared and lead communication and engagement activities, drive the GFMC LT agenda and lead special projects.
CMO representation - acts as the official delegate of the CMO at various business fora - either when needed or on an ongoing basis. These will include fora both within the M&C organization and cross-business unit groups.
CMO strategic insight - undertakes research and analysis to support the CMO in preparing for key engagements and/or taking business decisions. This can include but is not limited to the preparation of presentation materials and speaking points for senior stakeholder engagements, and preparing recommendations and options to inform leadership decision making.
CMO communications- acting as the point of contact and individual responsible for drafting CMO communications to the Executive Team, GFMC, global M&CR community and wider business functions.
Working closely with People Business Partner to drive an engaging, transparent culture through proactive listening and maintaining a continuous "temperature check" on the organization as well driving improvement areas in response to VOICE. Initiatives and feedback should be shared back with the CMO, GFMC LT and wider organization on a regular basis.
Driving the GFMC LT agenda, including facilitation of meetings, capturing actions and follow-up reporting.
Undertaking special projects, as needed, on behalf of the CMO or other GFMC Executive Leaders.
Supporting development of the CMO's executive profile and engagement on digital media channels, proactively seeking out external speaker engagements, preparing speaker briefs and presentations and creating a schedule of regular social media posts and relevant, inspiring content.
You will bring
Strong analytical and critical-thinking competencies, with an eye for creativity, thinking creatively, and challenging established ways of working and methods.
The highest level of written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, involving effectively and driving innovative ideas.
Proven ability to build trust, confidence, respect and effective working relationships among individuals at all levels of the organization and with executive stakeholders and business partners.
A quick learner who acts independently, handles diverse tasks quickly and accurately in a high-pressure environment.
Solid project management skills; demonstrated history of managing significant and complex projects.
Proven ability to complete against timelines and within an environment of organizational change.
Ability to prioritize, coordinate and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to present to large groups, and confidence to speak on behalf of CMO in meetings.
Prior experience handling highly confidential/sensitive information in a professional and discreet manner.
Experience in financial analysis, reporting and forecasting.
Solid analytical skills; has hands-on experience; ability to quickly aggregate and analyze information and draw conclusions.
