Job Description: CMO | Growth
A senior executive role, that encompasses marketing, project financing, investor / government relations and facilitates growth within our startup organization. This is a multi-faceted role that takes startup, to scale-up, to
EBITDA+, in coordinated cooperation with the CEO, CFO, CTO and other C-Suite executives, where applicable to specific initiatives. Leadership, team management, both within the sales and marketing structure, as well as the rest of the organization as it relates to sales, marketing and overall growth initiatives.
The core components of this role are intended, in the long term, to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition and revenue growth. In the short term, the CMO | Growth role, in a startup environment is heavily weighted towards general project awareness, as it relates to potential partners, investors, government grants and other funding, while also focusing on market research, go to market strategy, partnerships, joint-venture initiatives and collaboration with other teams within the organization. Critically, this role must see that the organization realizes the common goal of establishing HEJMAS as a competitive offering in the the pulp market. Additionally, beyond focusing on the immediate core components of the role, this leader must always keep our future product and intellectual property development in mind.

Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership:
• Develop and execute marketing strategies that align with HEJMAS goals.
• Oversee market research, analyze industry trends, and identify target markets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and implement integrated marketing campaigns.
• Manage brand positioning and enhance customer experience.
2. Data-Driven Decision-Making:
• Monitor marketing performance and analyze data to optimize marketing efforts.
• Stay updated on industry trends and foster innovation to maintain a competitive advantage.
3. Market Research and Audience Insights:
• "Listen" to market trends and direct market research efforts.
• Identify likely customers for products or services and develop pricing strategies.
4. Collaboration and Communication
• Liaise with other departments to guide a unified approach to customer service, distribution, etc.
• Coordinate marketing efforts with the company's financial and branding goals.
5. Revenue Generation:
• Establish relationships that lead to Letters of Intent / deferred contracts for future production capacity.
• Drive revenue by increasing sales through successful marketing activities.
• Approve marketing campaign ideas and negotiate advertising contracts.6. Business Strategy and Innovation:
• Develop the structure of the business's marketing department.
• Seek out new ways to deliver messaging (e.g., mobile platforms, video, social media).

• Exceptional analytical skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead, educate and inspire their team and others within the organization
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• Passionate customer advocacy and ability to interpret and adapt customer's wishes to support profitability
• Thorough knowledge of marketing principles, brand, product, and service management
• Solid understanding of changing market dynamics and future direction in a commodity market
• Entrepreneurial experience and proven experience growing startups

Education Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree (an advanced degree in marketing or business, such as an MBA, is preferred) or
equivalent experience in executive roles, startups / scale-ups
• Approximately 10 years of well-rounded marketing or business development experience in positions of
increasing responsibility, with a focus on marketing expansion
• Three to five years of experience in a leadership role
