Our vision is a world where everyone is willing and able to take responsibility for solving social problems. We are politically and religiously independent and we do not receive government funding. During the summer of 2012 opened an office in Stockholm covering Sweden, Norway and Denmark.
We are now looking for an Ashoka Associate that can launch the program.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
As an Ashoka Associate for our Changemaker Skills program you will be responsible for the implementation of Ashoka Scandinavia's Changemaker Skills program that will search and select leading schools in Scandinavia as well as to support young changemakers. The position is a paid trainee role, with possibility to continue after the first year. You should live in Stockholm, Oslo or Copenhagen and being able to travel within Scandinavia and Europe on a frequent basis.
Your main tasks will be:
• Sourcing, selecting, electing and supporting Changemaker Schools and Young changemakers in Scandinavia
• Project leading and coordinating the support to Changemaker Schools and Young changemakers in Scandinavia that we elect
• Researching potential funders/partners/nominators for the Changemaker Skills program across Scandinavia and build relationships that will enable the program to continue after the first year

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Very entrepreneurial and independent
• Big passion for the education system and young people ability to change
• Passion for social entrepreneurship
• Experience in fundraising and building partnerships
• Excellent networking and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally
• Experience in youth social action sector (desirable)
• Confident, independent, self-motivated and patient
Confident, independent, self-motivated and patient
• Good research and analytical skills
• Excellent presentation skills
• Excellent time management
• Able to work as a team or alone
• Fluent in at least one Scandinavian language and English
