The challenge
We work with current and future legal requirements for engines. This means following legal requirements, demonstrating compliance and supporting various stakeholder internally and externally. The main areas are:
• Monitor and analyse legal requirements
We follow legal requirements through international workgroups and other channels. Requirements are analysed together with R&D giving valuable input so that Scania's engines are developed to meet existing and future requirements.
• Certification of engines
We provide guidance to and assist development engineers to test engines and develop technical writing with a complex content. This means assisting over a broad area containing software functionality and calibration, emissions performance, emissions durability as well as aftertreatment characteristics and performance. Towards the end of the certification process, the application for certification is formalized by compiling Scania's applications for certificates.

We already work with US requirements for nonroad/marine and European requirements for trucks. For the new area US on-highway, you will leverage knowledge from both of these areas.
Your profile
• To be successful, you need the ability to combine an understanding of combustion engines with an understanding of legal requirements, measurement technology, performance, emissions and diagnostics.
• You have an engineering degree.
