About your job
On our growth journey, we need to develop our supply chain and take it to the next level.
Our Wear Protection offering, is one of our fastest growing Product Lines globally, and you will be a part of our Strategic Supply Chain Development team at Sandvik Screening Solutions EMEA. As Category Manager Wear Protection, you will be strategically responsible for our category Wear protection globally.

You will evaluate and develop our global supply chain, at the same time, monitoring the process to ensure we and our suppliers deliver on our promised results, focusing both on commercial and technical aspects. You will develop the category strategy and be a part of strategic supply projects. Negotiation is a natural part of your role, and you need to align with key stakeholders internally as well as externally.

You will be working with other Procurement functions in Europe, Africa, India, Australia and South America, hence good communication and project management skills are required. You will also have a close co-operation with the Product Line Manager for the category.

In more detail, your mission includes being an instrumental part of Sandvik's overall business performance by identifying business needs and ensuring supplier contribution. You identify, lead and manage sourcing projects as well as ensure supplier compliance by negotiating and signing contracts. You continuously establish solid relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers in order to ensure cross-functional alignments. You monitor and follow-up work on supplier related KPI's as well as lead and manage categories teams across different functions.

You're preferably based at our site in Svedala, Sweden, and some travel to our suppliers and internal stakeholders occurs.

About you
We're looking for someone with a relevant degree and 3-5 years' experience within category management or similar roles. Previous involvement in an industry like ours is beneficial. You have solid skills in the MS Office suite, as well as fluency in both written and verbal English.

We put great emphasis on your personality! You have excellent interpersonal skills and know how to connect and collaborate, but also negotiate with internal and external parties. You're able to balance an analytical as well as a problem-solving mindset together with a communicative and supportive approach.
