Description
The section Safety Analysis within Safety Centre is responsible for evaluation of crash performance in our current and future vehicles. The analysis work is based on results from both physical testing and virtual simulations.
Daily tasks and responsibilities
As CAE engineer you will perform virtual simulations of vehicle crash performance. Based on the result you will do analysis of occupant protection and structural performance. Different technical solutions are evaluated to secure that the vehicle meets our high safety standards. As CAE engineer you will be responsible for virtual simulations within one of our ongoing projects and you will have regular contact with engineers from physical testing and the product development departments. You will also participate in method development assignments and system requirement setting.
Competence Requirements
M.Sc. or preferably Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering. High competence level in CAE-tools as LS-Dyna and Ansa.
Meritorious Competences
Knowledge of the company's product development process. Experience from other OEMs in CAE Safety area.
