As a CAE Engineer you will perform virtual simulations of vehicle crash performance, analysing and evaluating occupant protection and structural performance. You will actively take part in cross-functional teams to propose and evaluate technical solutions to secure that Volvo vehicles meet our high safety standards and maintain our leadership in Safety. As a CAE engineer you will be responsible for virtual simulations within one of our ongoing projects having regular contact with engineers from physical testing and the product development departments. You will also participate in method development assignments and system requirement setting.

Main responsibilities

• Create and develop virtual simulation models
• Perform simulations and analysis based on results
• Participate in development of technical solutions
• Participate in cross-functional development teams
• Participate in method development

This position will focus on frontal crash occupant and interior simulations
so experience and knowledge within this area is of high interest.

Competence Requirements

• M.Sc. Engineer
• Fluent in English, written and spoken
• Experience of CAE analysis preferably within Automotive Safety.
• Skills in Dyna, Ansa and Metapost software.

• Ability to both work independently and in teams
