We would like to strengthen our team of Strength & Durability and are therefore searching for a CAE engineer to join our group, Cab Analysis. The group is also passionate of other domains such as NVH, Aerodynamics, Climate and Environment. CAE is a major part of our deliverables and we are a supporting function to the other CAB departments within Cab Engineering; such as Exterior, Interior and Body in White.
The Cab engineering is responsible for developing new advanced cabs for our future trucks while also continually adapt our current products to different market demands. We work as a global team with the different sites around the globe. Working in this international environment is an exciting challenge, which is placing more and higher demands on our employees.
Job summary
As CAE engineer you work closely together with the design departments and other functions in order to optimize the design and find the best solutions for our end customers. You analyze the area and what kind of simulations is needed and after completion share both the results and your recommendations. The CAE methods and tools are continuously developed, to secure we stay on top of our abilities.
Responsibilities
• Use your competence of strength and durability to define what analyses are needed.
• Perform calculations using good modeling practices, appropriate assumptions, and justified simplifications
• Explain and recommend design optimizations to design departments
• Be an active support to local test engineers and in dialogue recommend tests and correlations

Requirements
• M Sc/Ph D in applied Mechanics or Physics
• Several years of experience of CAE tools and methods in automotive
• A high level of spoken and written English
Tools we use and prefer you are skilled in:
Matlab, Beta ANSA/Metapost, Nastran, DesignLife or similar fatigue analysis software, Matlab, UNIX
