Primarily, MVV:s customers are in the areas of automotive, oil/gas and robotics/automation.

Position description:
Provides support to component design in all areas.Communicates with CAD designers and incorporates the designer' work on the project.Responsible for design layouts detail drawings and design calculations.Responsible for collecting and analyzing data and preparing reports.Performs preliminary and advanced work tasks in the development of layout and design Design and development in CAD as well as data management Mission support and launch support. Administrative assistance to the program team.
The Exterior department develops most of what you see on the outside of the car. We are responsible for the entire process of engineering design of exterior systems such as glass, bumpers & grilles, mouldings, lighting, and large injection moulded exterior plastic parts. We have the development responsibility for Volvo car's all product families and the development work is done in close cooperation with our suppliers. Development activities are carried out mainly in Gothenburg.
You will work in a creative environment where tomorrow's cars are shaped. We work in flexible cross-functional teams tailored to development tasks. In the team, we are working together, caring and helping each other. We have a wide interface that provides both an extensive contact network as well as knowledge in the many varied property areas.
We develop technology strategies and the implementation of advanced engineering, quality assurance of competitive concept solutions, system solutions and offers in the Exterior department area. We have cross functional operation of the department's commitment to product project and product maintenance over time. Main task and responsibility We are looking for a Design Engineer where you will work with Bumper systems.
To work in the design team for bumpers and to take active part in the development of large plastic parts with appearance as important feature. You are a skilled design engineer in Catia V5 and used to design large plastic parts with a design surface, and are also willing to work in early phases and develop new/improved concepts.
Required profile
• English and/or Swedish, verbally as well as written
• Structured and with a professional approach
• Self-driven
Other competencies requested
• Social competence and ability to work in a team
Technical competence
• Good practical and theoretical knowledge in Catia V5, Team Center and plastics/tooling.
• Analytical skills and design experience. We expect that you develop, monitor and update the relevant schedules of the task and assess whether the level of maturity of the components fulfill the purpose of the series.
