The business control team supports the Electromobility Department which is an Engineering organization responsible for the development of electromobility solutions. It develops and drives the electromobility product portfolio for Volvo Group's Trucks & Buses as well as creating opportunities for all business areas within the Volvo Group. The organization is growing rapidly and currently includes around 800 people with more on the way in. This is where it happens, the product development that will take Volvo Group to 100% fossil free vehicles in 2040!

Electromobility Business Control is part of the global Controlling & Product Finance team in Volvo Group Trucks Technology. We are the Business Partners of Electromobility Engineering, by providing business analysis and financial direction tailored to optimize the performance of the functions and R&D portfolios. We are a team 4 controllers in Gothenburg, growing to 5 with this new position.
Role and Responsibilities
You are part of a team of professional business partners supporting the Electromobility Engineering line organization as well as projects. You oversee financial reporting and analysis for R&D, both from a project and from a department perspective. With an open and positive attitude, you drive to improve! Your ability to communicate and to work with people on different levels in the organization is essential.
Your main focus will be to:
Support and challenging R&D projects in making cost estimates and analysis in front of business decisions
Provide expense rolling forecasts
Secure month end closing deliveries
Perform internal invoicing, accruals and some other transactional activities related to projects
Work with continuous improvements, secure continued digitalization
Ad hoc financial analysis
Be an active member of the global Controlling & Product Finance team
To be successful in your new role we want you have the following experience/capabilities:
Education with a relevant finance degree
Strong analytical mind, skilled at analyzing and presenting numerical data
Digital literacy - finding it easy to adapt to digital tools and systems. Engaged in driving automation using these kinds of tools.
Relevant work experience is a merit, a strong will to develop within Business Control is a must.
IT proficiency - Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Power Point. Power BI experience is a strong merit.
Strong communication skills with an ability to build trust
Action oriented
Fluent in English
