The company currently responds to an increasing demand for our expertise, based on Swedish experiences from local self-governance and municipal management as well as our project references from more than 30 countries. Our expertise covers areas such as capacity building on municipal management and service delivery; local and regional development; decentralization policies; support to local government associations; and European Integration.
We cooperate with a wide range of actors such as ministries, local government associations; sub-national governments and civil society. Our clients are primarily Sida, EU and other donor agencies.
Our business is growing and we are now looking for a structured and service oriented bid manager with extensive experience from international development cooperation. SKL International can provide a unique opportunity to develop your experience of international business, and offers exciting and challenging work in an international environment.
We believe that you have the following key qualifications:
• At least 5 years experience from international development cooperation, including tracking of business opportunities among international donors, preparation (to write) and coordination of project proposals, quality assessments of proposals, management of databases, interaction/negotiations with consortia members and preparation of contracts.
• Familiarity with public administration and governance preferably at a regional and local level as well as Results-Based Management is an advantage.
• Ability to work in teams, through networks and to adjust to a competitive and multicultural environment
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong verbal and written communication in English
• University degree
• Other relevant qualifications:
• Experience of profit-making business
• Experience of business development and tendering procedures
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in Swedish
• Other language skills
The Project Manager will be based at our office in central Stockholm and the job will include regular business trips abroad.
