We have started a journey to move more of our solution portfolio to the Cloud.
We need to strengthen our architectural skills in Azure Cloud solutions.
Who are we?
We are The Commercial Solution Delivery Unit within Volvo Group IT. We are approximately 1600 people who have full responsibility for all commercial solutions used by all our truck brands Volvo, Renault, Mack and UD Trucks. We have development and support centers reaching from Japan to America and we have employees spread all over the world from Asia to Europe. We deliver business value every day to Volvo Group through the support we give the commercial crews, the uptime of our solutions and the project deliveries that we do. In this position within Solution Center Volvo Trucks Aftermarket we offer you a fantastic opportunity to be an active contributor to our digitalization journey!
Role description
Working within Azure Cloud architecture and solutions means responsibilities for the following areas:
Support all architecture related tasks in both project and maintenance
Provide expertise regarding Azure Cloud architecture, analysis and design
Support Azure development and design solutions to meet functional and non-functional requirements
Interact with technical stakeholders and support them with translating complex requirements into recommendations for appropriate solutions
Support IT team in technical realization, testing, application's deployment and knowledge transfer to the IT support
Help our teams to work even more with Devops and lean/ agile in Azure Cloud using CI/CD pipe-line, Micro Services, Azure Functions and Geo Located Databases
Technical Skills required:
Minimum 5 years' experience as Azure Cloud solution architect
Strong experience in Micro Services on premise and in the Cloud (App Fabric, AKS and Open Shift)
Deep understanding and management of Container Platforms, especially Open Shift
Experience in Azure DevOps
Strong knowledge of cloud based delivery model
