Spiideo is the leading provider of automated broadcasting cloud-based solutions for video analysis and streaming of sports. With an entirely new way of recording, sharing, and analyzing sports performance and producing sports for streaming, Spiideo has a unique position in the market.
Spiideo works globally with all levels of sports- from elite to amateur and senior to youth. More than 2,000 organizations are currently using Spiideo, including teams in the Premier League, NHL and NBA, as well as national leagues such as Sweden's Allsvenskan. Our customers can typically be found in team sports like soccer, basketball, ice hockey, field hockey, handball, lacrosse, etc.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are now looking to expand the Spiideo team with the addition of an Assistant Controller based in Malmö, Sweden. You will be a member of our Finance & Legal team, where you will have five very competent and friendly colleagues with various backgrounds, all based in Malmö and working internationally across the whole global organisation.
As this is a new role in the company and Spiideo is still a young company, it's a great opportunity to make an impact and we are looking for someone who actively wants to contribute with developing both this role and our finance department as a whole.
You will be part of a fast-growing sports tech startup with a global footprint, working with some of the most well-known sports teams and brands in the world.
As an Assistant Controller at Spiideo you will:
mainly work on the commercial side with order management, invoicing and accounts receivables. In addition, you will be involved in monthly - and yearly - closing and reporting, along with other tasks within finance and administration. As we are a small team, tasks and the role will change and develop over time.
Spiideo is currently growing rapidly which means that both the role itself and tasks will change - for the right candidate there will be many opportunities to develop and grow within the company. It is therefore important that you thrive in this type of organisation and that you are used to handling ad hoc assignments.
What we are looking for:
• Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related field
• A couple of years of working experience from finance or other relevant areas
• Comfortable working in Google Sheets and/or Excel
• Previous experience in Fortnox is a bonus
• Great communication and interpersonal skills, as you will have lots of contact with both external customers and colleagues from different parts of the organisation
• Professional proficiency in both Swedish and in English
• As a person you are accurate and careful about the details, but you also have the ability to easily grasp new tasks and like to work in a continuously changing environment
• A willing learner for new tools and processes
• Curious and self-motivated with a positive, team-first attitude
• Adaptive to working in a fast-paced, high-growth start-up environment
• Interest in sports, tech and/or AI is a bonus!
Location
This role is a full-time position based in Malmö, where we have a healthy mix of being at our office in the heart of the city centre (Lilla Torg) and remote. You will report to CFO who is based in Malmö, Sweden.
