JOB DESCRIPTION
Axis Communications is looking for a driven and organized Project Manager to join our Chip Platforms team. The teams major function is to design digital ASIC:s and FPGA:s for our network video surveillance products. Your responsibility will be to drive ASIC projects, from early start-up phase to prototype approval. This work includes planning, tracking and following-up projects with the goal of delivering excellent results on time.
You will work in close cooperation with your team, other departments at AXIS and with ASIC vendors. A typical project involves 5-20 engineers and stretches from 6 - 24 months. During the development phase you will play an important role by ensuring the quality of the project and making all stakeholders, external and internal, aware of risks, issues and status. You will work together with a team of highly qualified engineers and be supported by team leaders in module design, verification and back-end work.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for a leader with the ability to promote productivity and get others to share commitments to projects. Suitable candidates have an educational background in engineering, preferably with a master's degree in Electronics or Computing, and at least two years experience from project management in all project phases. Experience from ASIC technology or a strong interest to learn about ASIC technology is necessary, as is previous experience from handling external contacts and negotiations.
It's also important that you have strong abilities both in planning and executing projects as well as managing the people within them, making them grow and develop. Furthermore we believe you have very good Swedish and English skills (written and oral) and that you are proficient in MS Office and MS Projects.
THE CHIP PLATFORMS TEAM
The Chip Platforms team within R&D is designing digital ASIC:s and FPGA:s for our network video surveillance products. The ASIC:s are large SOC designs where the majority is in-house designed. We also use commercially available IP:s. Together with small ASIC geometry and extensive design work we meet the goals of our customers. Our design and verification methodology is based on SystemVerilog and VMM. We are designing both complex FPGA:s for validation and verification purposes and smaller FPGA:s for product specific functions.
