Area Sales Manager Export to Mediplast
We are looking for a passionate Sales Manager to join our Export sales team. We are offering you a newly created role where you will have the possibility to take part in the process of further develop our Export Sales business as we are growing geographically as well as product portfolio wise.
Mediplast is a well-established medical devices company with long-term customer relation and together with your colleague you will be responsible for the international sales process. Geographical focus for the role will be Europe, besides the countries where we have local sales organizations. In order for continued long-term success your role includes to maintain close relationships with customers and distributors across the territory. This means that your task will include both strategic and operational sales work, including creating and implementing business plans for each product area and geographical area. You will be responsible for customer relations and support our distributors through trainings and participation in trade fairs and congresses. We offer you a possibility to work with the sales process from A to Z, which means that you also handle agreements, pricing and tenders.
The role will also focus on identifying new business opportunities through searching, contacting and evaluating new possible distributors and customers. Launch and create awareness of new products is also included in the role. In the role you will have a broad network of contacts, internally you will be supported and cooperate with our Corporate Marketing team. You will also work close with our QA- team, in order to secure correct technical and regulatory product data.
Your experience
You have a strong commercial acumen with experience in international sales, preferably within Medical Device business. As we operate mainly through distributors in the Export business it is beneficial if you have experience from this type of business. It is positive if you have some experience from health care industry. You are confident in building relationships and negotiation with customers and have an ability to communicate on different levels, internally and externally.
A relevant background is a degree in Business, Life-sciences, Marketing, Business Administration or other similar education, but most important is your international sales experience and your "can-do mind set". You have a pragmatic and hands-on attitude for the sales process, for both current and market opportunities. Understanding and knowledge in how sales process can be supported by digital tools is important for the role. You are competent in Microsoft Office and have knowledge in CRM Systems.
This role presumes that you are proficient in business English and preferably also one or more languages such as German, French or Spanish. Your ideal location is at our Malmö-office. You are able to travel 50-60 days annually.
