Your Responsibilities
Carbiotix is offering a key position at our head office and lab in Lund, but frequent trips to our production site in Bjuv will be required. If you need a car for transportation, Carbiotix can provide this. You might have a background in food science, with an ability to understand and contribute towards chemical/biochemical processes for product generation or the other way around.
Under guidance from our head office and lab in Lund, Carbiotix requires an experienced process engineer/food scientist to help generate novel prebiotic products from our production site in Bjuv. You will work as a bridge between our development lab in Lund and the production site in Bjuv, to validate and scale-up products and processes.
Your duties will include;
Development of analytical methodologies for the detection and quantification of process chemicals and components (eg. ash analysis etc.).
Development of production processes in lab and verification of scale-up potential (Lund).
Application of quality and safety procedures according to local governance.
Writing of SOPs in lab and pilot.
Working under GLP conditions.
Establishment of HACCP and GMP in pilot.
Alignment with service providers and scheduling of the various installations and services.
With the help of our engineering partners, design upgrades and commission new equipment.
Schedule and manage maintenance of existing equipment.
Managing and ordering raw materials for production and materials for the facility.
Essential skills include;
5+ working in a similar position.
The job entails working across two sites, so a driving license is required.
Desirable skills include;
Operation of industrial processes:
Decantation.
Membrane filtration.
General tanks and pumps.
Pressure tanks.
Heated tanks.
Spray drying.
Steam boiler.
