Summary

The Application Specialist is responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting and supporting all applications within the payments platform, reporting directly to the Manager of Client Support.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Monitor, troubleshoot and support applications both in the production and the acceptance environment.
• Provide 2nd and 3rd line technical support to clients.
• Deploy new applications and verify the functionality both in the production and the acceptance environment.
• Provide technical support around the payments platform to other departments.
• Communicate with banks and partners as necessary for the payment service to operate satisfactorily.
• Duties may periodically include being on-call, meaning responsibility for the 24/7 availability of the platform out of office hours, to make sure critical services are always delivered.
• Participate in internal projects to supply requirements from an operational perspective.
• Apply the defined support processes for all support errands.
• Contribute to developing and improving the payment services, the support processes and the overall client satisfaction.

Secondary Duties & Responsibilities
• Training of new team members
• Contribute to developing and improving the Client Support department and the company as a whole.

Qualification Requirements
• Bachelor?s degree or equivalent university education within relevant area.
• Knowledge of and experience from working with Linux/UNIX environments.
• General knowledge within the following technical areas: Data communication and networks, data encryption, databases and SQL, programming and scripting.
• Knowledge of and experience from working with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Language Skills
Excellent written and verbal language skills in English is required, including the ability to communicate clearly and efficiently with others. Fluency in Swedish is preferred, but upon other relevant language skills not required.

Other Skills
You will need an excellent ability to handle different tasks simultaneously and being flexible while continuing to deliver high-quality results. The role requires the ability to work in an organized, structured and accurate way. You also perform well independently as well as in teams.
