Job Description:
We are seeking an Application Engineer specializing in Engine Development to join our esteemed automotive client in Södertälje. This role is integral to advancing innovative engine designs and ensuring cutting-edge technology for the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and optimize engine components, including cylinder blocks, cylinder heads, exhaust and inlet manifolds, and other structural parts.
Conduct mechanical design activities using Catia V5 to deliver high-quality outputs.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including design, supply chain, manufacturing, and quality assurance.
Manage comprehensive project plans covering scope, timelines, resources, and risks.
Ensure quality assurance processes by employing methodologies such as FMEA, APQP planning, and Lean Six Sigma.
Identify and resolve technical issues while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of automotive industry standards and regulations.
Requirements:
Several years of experience in developing engine components and systems.
Proficiency in Catia V5 for mechanical design.
Strong problem-solving skills and familiarity with quality assurance techniques like FMEA and PPAP.
Excellent communication skills with fluency in English, both written and verbal.
Flexibility to travel for project-related requirements and ability to work on-site at least one day per week.
Experience in Lean Six Sigma methodologies is meritorious.
