Since the start in 2005, EnterCard has grown significantly and developed a successful Nordic credit card business. With partners such as Swedbank, Coop, LO and British Airways and our own brand re:member, EnterCard has 2 million credit card customers in the Nordic region. To continue our journey we are now hiring a Lead Analyst to our Credit Risk team either in Stockholm, Oslo or Copenhagen. However we will consider less experienced candidates for an analyst or junior analyst position.
About Credit Risk
EnterCard Credit Risk powers and protects the business. We combine analytics, conceptual thinking and insights into customer needs to develop strategies that drive strong returns on capital and sustainable growth. We ensure that Entercard operates within its stated risk appetite and does not develop inappropriate concentration risks. We work across the customer cycle and collaborate deeply with other Entercard functions.
In addition, Responsible Lending is one of our core ethics that we always apply when we lend. Providing credit to customers is associated with a huge level of responsibility. We leverage advanced modeling and statistical techniques to ensure that the credit limits we provide are matched to customer needs and affordability. This requires close collaboration with our Commercial and Legal functions.
Your main responsibilities will include:
• Lead initiatives to improve credit risk strategies. Document findings, generate and present recommendations on developments that will outperform past approaches.
• Ensure that best practices are gathered and adopted in all locations.
• Provide analytical insights to facilitate ongoing parameter optimization.
• In conjunction with the Barclaycard Decision Science team, monitor the performance of relevant scorecards in use, including their risk discrimination power, stability and accuracy. Highlight areas of concern and recommend actions.
• Provide analytical insights to facilitate reviews of Commercial and Marketing campaigns, ensuring the appropriate risk-reward hurdles are reached at portfolio and segment level.
• Monitor portfolio risk concentration across multiple dimensions. Provide recommendations in case of deviation from medium- or short-term plans or of otherwise emerging material risk.
• Provide inputs to the development of medium- and short-term Impairment budgets.
At EnterCard we value a mixture of personality and formal experience, and in order for you to deliver in your role we assume you have:
• A strong understanding of key Credit Risk principles.
• Understanding of business value drivers and issues in consumer lending / unsecured lending businesses.
• Advanced user of Microsoft Office ? in particular Excel.
• Experience of SAS.
• A good understanding of multivariate statistical techniques.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good planning and organizing skills.
• Significant relevant experience
• Proven track record with a respected financial/retail institution.
• Strong credit, financial & economic knowledge.
