Active Safety is an area where Volvo, through continuous launching of new and innovative safety features, has positioned itself among the leaders of the automotive industry. Now the work continues to reach our ambitious vision that by 2020 no one should be killed or seriously injured in a new Volvo. Within the department, we develop systems such as Collision Avoidance, Autonomous Drive, Driver Support and Protective Safety. To do this we use sensor systems based technologies such as Radar, Laser, Ultrasonic, Cameras and Accelerometers. Through Sensor Fusion, these sensors are combined to create an awareness of the vehicle surroundings that can be used by various Driver Assist and Safety Functions to support the driver.
We are now looking for an Analysis Engineer to be a part of our team to work with existing modules and with assignments in upcoming car platforms. We have the mission to secure the safety of our cars by verifying the performance of the sensors. We are involved in the product development to support early stage verifications as well as the analysis and verification of the installed vehicle sensors.
As an Analysis Engineer, you will be responsible for the verification of sensors in current and future projects. You will also cooperate with other team members to develop new verification methods.
Main responsibilities
* Support design team with early stage verifications
* Support the design of new verification tools
* Support performance-oriented planning of data collection
* Report and establish technical solutions in order to solve the assigned problems
* Write test plans as well as test reports for measurements
Required qualifications
* B.Sc./M.Sc. degree or similar
* Experience in Matlab programming
* Swedish valid driving license
* Experience in verification and analysis of sensors is meritorious
* Automotive experience is meritorious
* Experience in all program phases from pre-program through launch is meritorious

* Structured with good documentation skills
