• Financial administration
• Project support
• Secretarial duties
Qualifications
You are a team player, service minded, energetic and have an attention to details. You enjoy multi-tasking and have strong organising and administrative talents. To be successful in this role you need to have a relevant educational background, excellent knowledge in Swedish and English and it would be preferable if you also have an interest in web and social media presence. Previous work experience would be advantageous. A valid B-type driver's licence is a must. Since EISCAT have facilities in different countries and regularly arrange/attend meetings and conferences all around the world, you will need to be able to travel at sometimes short notice.
Team
The administrative team at Headquarters is responsible for the business matters of EISCAT. A main activity ahead is the planned construction of the new EISCAT infrastructure to be deployed at initially three locations in Finland, Norway and Sweden. The new system, EISCAT_3D, has in its first stage, a budget volume of 685 MSEK. Parallel and supplemental projects, mostly funded by the European Commission project funds, are ongoing as well. Both dedicated and regular staff work in projects and externally funded project pose special needs onto the administration. About 22 staff are currently working at EISCAT. 12 of these are located in Kiruna. The annual regular EISCAT budget amounts to about 30 MSEK.
Terms and how to apply
The administrator position is initially for two years, with an anticipated possibility of extension. EISCAT follows terms comparable to state employee rules. Headquarters is located at Space Campus situated a few kilometres away from central Kiruna. We envisage a start date around November-December 2015.
