The Position:
We are now looking for a Researcher working as a delegate for 3GPP RAN3 standardizaion together with rest of the RAN3 standardization team.
We are currently in search of highly experienced system engineers specialized in the Layer 3 aspects of the radio interface to be a part of the Ericsson RAN3 team for 3GPP standardization. Your mission will be to take part in the evolution of the 3GPP standards as a delegate. That means that you run studies related to layer 3 that will be used during the 3GPP meetings to drive Ericsson's aspects and strategy of the standard development for the LTE and NR standards and then negotiate the content during the 3GPP meetings. The RAN3 team consists of delegates and back office persons that belongs to different organizations in Ericsson.
The position includes the following activities and responsibilities:
Represent Ericsson as a delegate during the 3GPP meetings.
Prepare contributions for 3GPP RAN3 meetings.
Ensure synchronization between Ericsson products and the 3GPP standard regarding functionality and performance, in tight cooperation with product management and product development.
Cooperate with Ericsson Research, Ericsson Technical Management, Product Line and external cooperation partners.
Position Qualifications:
We expect you to understand: 3GPP Standardization, Product Development and the Product Life Cycle. We are a company who needs to act fast in a changing world, thus you need to be able to adapt and respond quickly to change and also deliver results to meet customer expectations. You need to be creating and innovating and easily work with other people. You are expected to be able to plan and drive your own work, but also drive teams to reach common goals.
Your profile:
MSc level in a technical discipline or the equivalent level of knowledge
You are probably already working with 3GPP standardization and preferrably with in 3GPP RAN3 since some years
High level of Mobile Network understanding in general
Knowledge and experience about standardization work in general
Well-developed understanding of working in early phases of system development
Very good communication skills
Proven leadership skills
Excellent English skills
Lean & Agile Knowledge and Skills is beneficial
