Role Summary/Purpose:
The machine head of a wind turbine comprises all necessary equipment to take the mechanical power from the rotor into the power generator, as well as housing the electrical equipment.
The machine head subsystem team is responsible for system integration for the complete nacelle.Interfaces: tower flange, rotor hub flange, transport and lifting.
Machine layout and technical design solutions on a System and subsystem level are included.
The team will cooperate with the different component owners in the Mechanical components Center of Excellence organization, who will produce detailed component engineering:documents, reports and drawings for production, certification etc .
This position focuses mainly on Mechanical drive. The mechanical drive mainly consists of Shaft, main bearings with lubrication system, coupling, rotor lock, parking brake and inching system.
