Your role

As an obsolescence coordinator you will handle obsolescence cases from start to finish, often several cases in parallel, as a driver and coordinator. You will work closely with product management, engineering and procurement in order to facilitate the process and ensure rational decisions. The role offers great possibilities to network within Saab.

Key to success is close collaboration with your colleague in Gothenburg and the department component engineering with team members in Huskvarna, Gothenburg and Stockholm.

We are an ever-evolving organization and you are expected to contribute to the improvement of our processes and ways of working with focus on obsolescence management.

The main tasks are:

* Capture and analyze obsolescence data from supply chain
* Coordinate and secure product management decisions based on analysis
* Update and maintain end of life purchase directives together with product management
* Develop and improve the obsolescence management process

Your profile

We are seeking a remarkable individual to enhance our Surveillance division's management of obsolescence. This role harmoniously blends operational expertise with strategic process development. We value a socially engaging personality, natural curiosity, and a passion for learning. Possessing a structured approach, you'll excel at managing numerous tasks at varying stages, leading them to successful conclusions.

Required skills:

* Bachelor / MSc. Within engineering, including industrial management
* Practical leadership/coordination skills (project management or equivalent, scope is not important)
* Excellent communication skills in Swedish verbal and written, high proficiency in English
* Experience from data management in MS Excel and similar tools
* At least basic understanding for configuration management
* Experience from working with product structures (consist of / where used), preferably in IFS or similar systems is desirably.

A talent you wish you had?

* I wish I could perfect the art of broth making. Professionally, I see value in improving project management, effective meetings, and BI-tools skills. However, I emphasize the importance of learning from others, which often inspires me to acquire new knowledge.

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
