We are looking for an application engineer within the marketing function that primarily works with technical sales support for the global sales organization. This support unit has expertise in matters relating to technical applicability of our products and systems. This position is in the Business unit Transport.
Job Description
You will work with system solutions in the water and wastewater pumping business with a focus on station design. Your challenge will be to develop technical solutions for pump stations, and present these as CAD drawings. You will work with component selection, sizing and system calculations for pump systems. You will be responsible to develop recommendations for pumping station design and include these recommendations in our sales tools. You are in a group of a ten applications engineers with different specializations. Travelling to our sales companies and customers is included in your work.
In your work also includes
• train staff in application knowledge
• participate and support business development projects
• own and develop engineering tools
• conduct or assist in application development projects.
Qualifications
You have a Master or Bachelor degree in civil- environmental- or mechanical engineering. Experience of similar work is desirable, but not required. You have good knowledge of English, both spoken and written. Additional languages are an advantage, preferably French, Spanish, German, Chinese or Russian. Experience in AutoCAD is required. It is merited if you have knowledge of Pro / Engineer and Inventor and fluid mechanics.
