We are looking for students starting their master's during fall 2019 to join our VESC program within Manufacturing Engineering in Olofström!
Through VESC, we aim to establish a good foundation for a long-term relationship between Volvo Cars and students in various Master's Programmes. The concept will provide you as a student with a unique opportunity to experience and work in the very centre of the process and product development in the automotive industry.
What we offer
VESC consists of summer work for 4-10 weeks, during the summer period 2019 and 2020. The first summer you will build our cars in the production line at the Olofström Plant. During the summer of 2020, you will work within ME and focus on specific Manufacturing Engineering deliveries.
Your Master thesis will take place within the same department as the summer work you had during 2020. You will also have an individual mentor and support during the program.
You and your profile
In order to be eligible as a participant in the VESC program, you need to start your two-year Master's Program during fall 2019.
We are looking for students studying within one of the following Bachelor programs:
* Mechanical Engineering
* Automation Engineering
* Electrical Engineering
* Industrial Engineering and Management
* Software / Computer Engineering
And that are applying for Master's programs within the areas of:
* Production Engineering
* Automation Engineering
* Mechatronics Engineering
* Software Engineering
On a personal level
We are looking for positive and curious individuals that are not afraid of taking initiatives. Good cooperation and communication skills while having a committed attitude will help you through the program. We think you are open and have the ability to listen to others. You should enjoy working in a team as well as independently. An analytical mind-set is something that describes you well. You like problem solving and you have passion for cars and engineering techniques!
Fluent English skills, in both speech and writing, is required.
