We currently have the following job opening;
Visual Quality Management Leader within the Vehicle organization
This is a key role to manage coordination between the Design department and the Engineering department to ensure world class visual design. You are first contact to the Design department and are also responsible for building up the cooperation with the Geely Visual Quality Management (VQM) organization.
You will belong to the unit Vehicle Integration on the tophat development, who leads all complete vehicle activities as CAE, Attributes and Concept and Geometrical Integration. We make sure the car will have the right vehicle performance characteristics and balance.
You will report to the VP of Vehicle Integration and be a member of the Vehicle Integration management team.
Responsibilities and Tasks
- Act as coordination hub between the Visual Design department and the Engineering Design department, to focus and drive all-round whole process risk control like visual design progress, product design quality, engineering feasibility etc.
- Manage, push and resolve engineering feasibility problems related to visual design and main other difficulties of visual design. Balancing Concept solutions, Attributes, Design and Manufacturing to give clear recommendations for concept selection.
- Securing geometrically integrated, feasible vehicle concepts meeting all complete vehicle prerequisites.
- Support the VP in developing strategies for the department
Profile and Background
We are looking for someone that has a vast experience of product development in large organizations, preferably automotive. You have genuine work experience from perceived quality or design quality. You have a strong personal drive and motivation with ability to take initiative, drive issues and make decisions and above all be able to have a strong communication to top management at Engineering and Design.
You also have a creative and analytical mindset to handle complex problems. To be successful in this role it is important that you have a thorough understanding of the design process and a strong urge to get the engineering team to fulfil the design intent.
You work well with other people and show both self-confidence and good judgement when making statements and taking decisions. The department interacts cross functionally and has a role to drive and balance contradictory requirements and you need to have the diplomatic skills to get to the best possible agreement and decision in those delicate matters.
To be able to be successful with these tasks you need to be structured and flexible as well as good at creating relationships. In addition, you have the ability to communicate well at all levels of the organization.
Cultural awareness, specifically between Europe and Asia is also an important factor to consider. Suitable theoretical background is a Master of Science or a Bachelor of Arts.Excellent skills in spoken and written English is of utmost importance to work in our global environment.
