• Enhance Volvo Bus Global Purchasing commercial performance through deeper cooperation with Volvo Group Trucks Purchasing and Business Areas purchasing for Key Segments and Key Suppliers
• Secure that VBC business with the other parts of the Volvo Group is leveraged in an optimized way
In order to support this aim, we are looking for a VBC Synergy Manager.
Main Responsibilities
• Act as main point of contact for VBC Strategic Purchasing towards Group Trucks Purchasing and Business areas
• Represent VBC global purchasing and coordinate VBC interests in relevant Volvo Group Sourcing decision bodies
• Secure VBC commercial interest & KPIs for major segments/supplier relations managed by Group Trucks Purchasing and Business areas, amongst others Transmissions & Axles; Batteries, Chassis & Vehicle dynamics
• Manage and coordinate VBC representation in supplier negotiations and BRM meetings with Volvo Group key suppliers
• Manage coordination of segment strategies including technical road-map for prioritized segments to support VBC product road-map and strategic direction
• Be the interface between VBC purchasing and Group Trucks Purchasing, Group Trucks Technology and VBC/Nova/Prevost engineering & product planning
• Consolidate and establish forecast within the areas of responsibility in order to support Strategic Purchasing business plan
• Explore full potential of synergies between VBC purchasing and Group Trucks Purchasing as well as other business areas

Required skills, experience and competencies
• Fluent in English
• University degree in Business Administration and/or Engineering
• Excellent business understanding, negotiating skills and commercial experience
• Excellence in communication, networking and stakeholder management
• Strong business focus and result orientation
• Min 5 years of experience from strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management
• Min 5 years of experience of working in an international structure managing teams globally and deep understanding of cultural aspects
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to interact cross functionally on a global basis
• Experience from Group Trucks Purchasing is highly valued for this position
