We now have a fantastic opportunity as Utilities Manager in one of Sweden's leading beverage companies. This position will be located in Falkenberg, Sweden.
The Production management team, that the Utilities Manager is part of, is an international team, which brings diversity of thought which we believe is the way to successful and high performing teams. Therefor much of the communication within the management team is in English. The person who will thrive in this position is a strong leader, who motivates and inspires the team and that puts safety on top of the agenda, is analytic and see the bigger picture as well as can lead leaders in a successful manner.
Primary responsibilities:
• Responsible for utilities strategy across sites (Falkenberg and Ramlösa).
• Ensure that the Utilities department operates safely and in accordance with legal and group standards
• Drive performance gaps closure and continuous improvement of Utilities KPIs (heat, water, electricity, compressed air, cooling, CO2, wastewater etc.) through effective use of Lean TPM Methodologies working together with other colleagues where utilities are spent. Ensuing the department Management Control and Reporting System (MCRS) is maintained and the Performance Management System (PMS) complied with group standards and spirit driving departmental excellence agenda
• Ensure utilities supply service to internal clients (e.g. core business) on the time and effective way.
• Ensuring problem solving methodologies are used by team to resolve day to day and complex problems, acting as a role model and coach the team.
• Ensure that all Carlsberg standard methods, tools and process (Carlsberg Operational Manual for Utilities) are implemented locally in accordance with regional and global agreements in Utilities department.
• Responsible for the short and long tear development of People in line with company guidelines - competencies and skills are developed based on business needs
• Leading the development of utilities strategy, contribute to LTDP of sites
• Direct responsibility for OpEx budget and utilities Capex allocation, spending and control within utility function
• Actively participates in Utilities best practice community, ensuring the sharing/implementation of best practices within the site and with group counterparts. Supporting utilities initiatives and deploy it locally.
• Developing, maintaining and promoting IMS inside own department
Requirements:
University degree in Utilities and/or mechanical and/or electrical-automation and/or environmental engineering. Managerial experience within food production and/or utilities and/or maintenance environment min 3 years.
In depth knowledge of regulatory requirements relating to Utilities.
Proven experience in developing people and plant, managing budgets and delivering performance improvements through Lean TPM methodology on structured and systematic way.
Candidate needs to demonstrate a solid and extensive experience from other production-related positions and experience of working with union relations and negotiations.
Language skills in Swedish and English.
