hela Sverige We are looking for talented Unit Managers. The unit manager is overall accountable for assigned department and reports to the functional manager. The unit manager is also responsible to contribute to the steering and development of the function. By being an active member in the functional management group the unit manager shall give input to and communicate steering documents such as the functional road map and take part in the decision making.
Areas of responsibility
People management -
Serving as company cultural ambassador and role model, leading by example and constantly work to strengthen the culture.
Constantly encourage innovation and continuous improvements in order to be an attractive employer.
Promote healthy working environment
Responsible for the business development of own department.
Departmental planning and prioritization. This includes budget, forecast, to measure, follow up and communicate relevant QT goals and plans within own department and to relevant stakeholders.
Accountable for processes, methods and best practices that are used within own department or between departments adhere to decided methodologies such as CMMI, Lean/Agile etc.
Responsible for sourcing, i.e. ratio of employees, in-sourced consultants and bought services in order manage the department in the most cost efficient way.
Be the escalation point and responsible to raise issues that can't be decided within own department.
Product:
Accountability for the deliveries within the department and thereby contribute to R&D operations mission ?R&D Operations provides QlikView - the Business Discovery solution?.

Leadership - motivate co-workers and give them the responsibility and authority they need to perform their best.

Communication - Excellent communication, listening, presentation and writing skills.
Planning and organizing - ability to plan and organize resources and activities. Sets goal, time frames and follows up.

Delegation - The ability to clearly assign responsibility for tasks and decisions, to set clear objectives and assign authority for people to make their own decisions and to follow-up whilst remaining responsible.
Empathy - The ability to understand another person's feelings and to understand their situation and motives.
Integrity - Exercises good judgment on business issues and acts with integrity and business ethics.
Experience:
At least 10 years of working experience, preferably within the software industry
At least 5 years of experience in leading software development departments
Solid technical understanding of software
Experience from working in a truly global environment
Excellent understanding of different cultures
Knowledge and practical experience of modern steering approaches as Lean and Agile
Proven track record of leading successful teams using strong leadership skills and a business oriented approach
The unit manager positions are all based in Lund, Sweden.
