The Consultant role
As a consultant you may be placed at different customers. UCG will assist with extra training when needed. As a consultant we need you to be flexible and to easily adapt to a new environment.
Education/training
Our roles requires a basic technical education, sometimes university level.
Experience
We require at least 3 years of relevant job experience for all roles, mostly more.
Required experience for this role:
• You have at least 5 years of professional experience in web development, some of which in high-growth tech companies.
• You are fluent with modern coding and testing techniques in web development: In TypeScript and React.
• You are experienced in integrating APIs and have worked with protocols like gRPC, REST, GraphQL.
• You have a solid understanding of JavaScript concepts and web architecture patterns and understand how to apply them to craft pragmatic solutions.
• You are able to implement complex, sophisticated user interface components and pages based on minimal and low-fidelity design input.
• You have prior experience with building tools for data visualization, dashboards, business intelligence, etc.

About the position
• Work as a senior Web Engineer to join the team
• The team is currently building a new internal product for the company, called Metrics Hub: a centralized and governed place to store metrics.
-The system provides a semantic layer and an expression language to define metrics, a processing engine for computing metrics results and an intuitive UI for browsing and discovering existing metrics, tweaking and adjusting them to create new definitions.
• The UI is built as a plugin on top of Backstage and is powered primarily by TypeScript and React.
