Customer Service is a unit within Volvo Car Group, responsible for the global aftermarket business, development and distribution of genuine parts, service- and repair methods and accessories. The logistics function within Volvo Car Customer Service is responsible for the procurement, storage and distribution of spare parts and accessories to Volvo's customers throughout the world. This includes operational control of all Volvo-owned parts inventory, warehouse management and transportation, as well as the long-term development of the global logistics process.
As Transport Manager will be responsible for transport purchasing and management of transports globally. You will build, develop and maintain commodity strategies in cooperation with internal customers and identify and implement cost reductions in cooperation with suppliers and internal customers. We manage road, air and sea transports. We work together with our stakeholders to create and deliver supreme value together with our suppliers.
Main responsibilities
• Drive and develop the purchasing work within selected commodities
• Market testing, sourcing and negotiations
• Develop and implement solid agreements
• Daily administration work such as ordering, handling of agreements etc.
• Optimise the supply chain
• Manage bought services and maintain supplier relations
• Follow-up and develop existing transport setups
• Contribute with transport expertise in connection with logistics projects
• Forecasting, budget and cost follow-up
• Actively participate in activities that focus on continuous improvements
Required qualifications
• University education
• Extensive experience in Purchasing
• Extensive experience from commercial negotiations
• Legal knowledge
• Experience of transport purchasing (road/air/sea)
• Strong business acumen combined with high integrity
• Background in logistics
• Experience from working in projects and able to lead others
• Used to work cross-functionally
• English spoken and written

• Ability to prioritise own work and deliver on time
• A great communicator and excellent corporation skills
• Ambitious and driven
• Good analytical skills and result oriented
• Business and performance driven
