About the job
We are looking to hire a Thermal Management Engineer to our System Engineering team. As a Thermal Management Engineer, you are responsible for the thermal management part of the technical roadmap as well as thermal design and concepts in our design projects. In this position you will lead the Thermal Management pre-developments and design activities for the whole product portfolio, from indoor site installations, indoor cabinets, shelters, and outdoor cabinets to in detailed solutions within our batteries. You will work in close collaboration with design engineers and the applied science team, as well as interact with universities and related technical communities for the latest updates in the field.
The position is based in Kista, Sweden.
Responsibilities:
• Design of different climate control solutions, such as heat exchangers, compressor cooling, convection cooling, forced air cooling, liquid cooling, heat pipes and other technologies relevant for our products and systems
• Responsible for the Thermal related requirements in our Requirement Data Base and related test cases
• Simulations using tools as, Beta ANSA, Siemens StarCCM+, Flotherm, Icepak and SolidWorks for mechanical design
• Hands-on prototype building and thermal testing
• System level design specifications including architecture and interface descriptions
• Technical documentation and reports
Qualification and experience:
• Minimum of 10 years' experience from similar positions
• Extensive knowledge of Thermal Management
• Excellent experience using application specific software systems
• Relevant higher education, probably MSc
• Willing to travel from time-to-time
