Test and Calibration Engineer
At RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT you will be a key contributor to the next generation outstanding luxury cars from Volvo. Together with other engineers over the world, you and your team will create innovative human-centric car technology that makes life less complicated and more enjoyable for people. As TEST AND CALIBRATION ENGINEER within the group Control Modules in Powertrain you will be, together with software developers, component owners and calibrators, responsible for verification and validation of software functionality in the ECM, Engine Management System, for our Diesel engines. Your main task is to test, optimize and calibrate functionality within the ECM system in various testing environments, including HIL, testrigs and vehicles. The role is cross functional and includes a deep involvement in the system functionality for the ECM software. Your mindset should be analytic and with the aim of finding solutions.
Job profile:
• Test, verify and validate engine software functions
• Calibrate model based software for non-propulsion functions
• Develop test codes and integrate them in the daily software development process
Your profile:
• University degree of Engineering or equivalent
• Knowledge of powertrain and electronic systems is an advantage
• Experience with embedded systems and model based software is meritious
• Great sense of responsibility and good ability to work independently
• Analytical and curious
• Fluent in English, spoken and written
• Driving licence (B)
